What to Expect: Your Very First Lesson 🚗
It’s completely normal to feel a bit of "first-time jitters" before your first driving lesson. At Liton Driving School, we make sure your introduction to the road is calm, safe, and—most importantly—fun!
Here is exactly how your first session will go:

1. The Meet & Greet

Your instructor will arrive at your door or a pre-agreed pickup point. We’ll start with a quick license check and a brief chat to get to know you. We want to hear about any previous experience you might have (even if it’s zero!) and what you’re most excited or nervous about.

2. Getting Comfortable (The "Cockpit Drill")

Before we move, you need to feel at home in the driver's seat. Your instructor will walk you through the DSSSM routine:

Doors: Ensuring they are securely shut.

Seat: Adjusting for comfort and control.

Steering: Finding the right grip.

Seatbelt: Safety first!

Mirrors: Setting your "eyes" on the road.

3. Understanding the Controls

We’ll explain the "how and why" of the pedals, the steering wheel, and the gear stick. No technical jargon here—just simple, clear explanations so you feel in control.

4. Your First "Move Off"

Once you’re ready, we’ll head to a quiet, low-traffic side road. Under the expert guidance of your instructor, you’ll learn how to move the car off and bring it to a smooth, safe stop.

That’s it! You’re officially a driver.

5. Review and Progress

At the end of the lesson, we’ll park up and chat about how you did. You’ll receive your Progress Tracker, where we’ll note down what you mastered today and what we’ll tackle in the next session.

How long is a driving lesson?

Our standard driving lessons typically last 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours, depending on your preference and learning goals.

1-Hour Lesson: Great for a quick refresher or focusing on a specific maneuver.

2-Hour Lesson: Most recommended! This gives you more time behind the wheel to practice different road types and build your confidence faster.
